Victor Goodman is a principal of Public Policy Advocates.
Mr. Goodman has a distinguished career in public policy serving
on Boards and Commissions on a national, state and local level.
Most recently, Mr. Goodman was elected for a three-year term
commencing July 2002 as a member of the Board of Directors
for the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. It is the
sole organization of accreditation, quality assurance and
quality improvement of higher education in the United States.
Prior to this appointment, he served on the Ohio Board of
Regents and served as member of the Board of Trustees of Ohio
University, and now serves as a member of the Ohio University
Foundation. He was also appointed by Governor Bob Taft to
serve as a member of the Commission on Higher Education and
the Economy and served as Chairman of the Task Force on Higher
Education during the Voinovich Administration.
Mr. Goodman is a former member of the Federal Service Impasses
Panel. The Panel provides assistance in resolving negotiation
impasses between Federal agencies and labor organizations
representing federal employees. He also served as a member
of the Foreign Service Impasse Disputes Panel, which assists
in resolving a wide range of labor disputes arising from collective
bargaining over conditions of employment affecting Foreign
Service employees of the U.S.
As a consultant, Mr. Goodman provides insight to public policy
through detailed analysis of issues, development of strong
facts supported by logical propositions; and, deliberate execution
of ethical and focused legislative or executive agency strategies.
He also provides extensive experience in the political process
as a former member of the Reagan-Bush Ohio Campaign Steering
Committee, and Member and Vice Chair of the Executive Committee
of the Franklin County Republican Party.
Mr. Goodman received his Bachelor's Degree from Yale University
with magna cum laude honors, his Juris Doctor Degree from
The Harvard Law School, and was awarded an Honorary Doctor
of Public Service by Ohio University.
